Smart, Hambach

Located since 1994 in Hambach near the German border and surrounded by its main suppliers, Smart has set up a formidably effective logistics organisation. It has been chosen by its group to produce the future electric Smart Fortwo which is expected to arrive on the market in 2010.

PSA Trémery, Metz

Production on two sites in Moselle:

- Trémery: four-cylinder petrol and diesel engines (HDI engines)
- Metz: gearboxes (Master)

At Trémery, production reached 1.45 million engines in 2008 (95% of them diesel), some 6,700 units produced every day. The launch in 2011 of the new, compact eco-friendly EB 3-cylinder petrol engine involves an investment of 255 million Euros and should lead to the creation of 500 jobs.

Rehau, Morhange

World leader in the production of polymer solutions (construction, automotive, industry). 15,000 people worldwide work on the development of complete systems, customised for each client and aimed at protecting the environment.
The Morhange site produces parts for the building industry (window profiles, electrical raceways...), for the automotive industry (door trims, seals...) and for industry (production of swimming pool covers). It now employs 850 people in Moselle in its administrative head office, factory and commercial agency.
