At Chambley, Lorraine displays its aeronautical know-how
Lorraine will be showcasing its aeronautical ambitions this weekend, 3 and 4 July 2010, at Chambley Planet'Air as it inaugurates the control tower of the new aerodrome, and at the same time takes advantage of the occasion to organise a major professional and popular gathering in line with the wishes of Lorraine Regional Council.
The programme for professionals centres on a set of talks on the latest trends in the aeronautical field and sustainable development. Dedicated to the Green Technology innovations of aeronautical manufacturers in Lorraine and France, the fair should also be marked by numerous business meetings and contacts. The 43 exhibitors are all from the industrial and academic sectors and include Thales, Safran, Dassault, SLCA, Airbus... For Lorraine, the Aériades cluster will demonstrate the vitality of the sector, which employs 2,500 people in some thirty companies.
For the general public, it is an air show devoted to the aeronautical history of Lorraine, with a programme of different events over the weekend. It will also be a chance to get a closer look at the Skylander, the plane which will soon be assembled at Chambley.
