R&D: Lorraine develops the lenses that will equip the robot on Mars

In Nancy (Meurthe-et-Moselle), three researchers from the Geology and Mineral Energy Resource Management laboratory (G2R - Université Henri-Poincaré et CNRS) have developed synthetic lenses for the eye of the Curiosity robot. These Lorraine-made lenses will serve as base for the robot data given similarities between the composition of terrestrial and Martian rocks.
