Moselle: a dynamic economy based on tradition and trade

Moselle is an industrial Departement. But not only that. Its historical and cultural heritage as well as its countryside are rich and varied, but often not well known to the general public. A land of history, traditions and trade, it is a surprisingly young Departement, full of resources. As you travel through Moselle, one thing becomes obvious: history is a strength. It provides the force to go forward and build the future.

Moselle: The Centre Pompidou-Metz

Moselle Développement is the Departement of Moselle's economic development agency and it offers services in the following areas:

• • support for start-up projects,
• • the economic promotion of Moselle and territorial marketing,
• • prospecting and the search for investors in France and abroad,
• • locating new activities,
• • endogenous development and support for existing businesses,
• • the preparation of applications for funding from the Moselle Departemental council.

Not forgetting the development and organisation of networks of excellence and the drawing up of economic strategies for the Departemental Council and the inter-communal bodies.
To accommodate new industrial or logistics activities, Moselle Développement proposes two European-dimension megazones, at the gateway to Germany and Luxembourg: Illange-Bertrange and Farébersviller-Henriville.

From 17 to 19 November 2009, Moselle Développement is organising in Metz the largest Indo-European event dedicated to transport systems: Euro India Transportation Systems (EITS). 5,000 business meetings will be organised covering the following areas:
